  1. Boil potatoes in salted water until fork-tender, about 15-20 minutes.
  2. Drain and return to pot over low heat to dry out excess moisture.
  3. Squeeze roasted garlic cloves from their skins into the pot.
  4. Add butter, warm milk, and sour cream. Mash until smooth.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot.
